Movie Night--When we find an especially appropriate movie that is clean and teaches Christian values, we host a "movie night" for the community. Anyone who wants to can come enjoy this night with our Christian family. There is no admission. Popcorn and soda is available. Plus those who want to, bring chips and dips and fingerfoods (not required) do so for all the rest to enjoy.

Womens' 'Tree ornament exchange'-- Around Christmas time each year, our ladies like to have a party where they exchange pretty tree ornaments, and play games. They love the fellowship

Fourth of July party--No matter what day the 4th comes on every year, we like to move our regular Wednesday night services to coincide with the Fourth. For example, if the 4th comes on Thursday that year, we have our worship on Thursday instead of Wednesday. We will have our regular services that night, but our folks like to bring food. At the end of that study time, we break out the firecrackers, and while the kids play with sparklers, the more experienced among us (the 40 year old "Children") shoot off the big ones. It is quite a show for everyone in the community. The food and fellowship is wonderful.

Trunk or Treat--Every Halloween season, we hold a chaperoned activity for the children. Our people fill their car trunks with candy; then line their automobiles up on the parking lot with their trunk lids open. This way, the children can fill their sacks with good treats in a safe environment. We avoid the demonic (no witches, devil or demon costumes) and put our emphasis instead on the angelic. We are trying to take this season away from Satan, with his "death, demons, and black arts"; instead we want to glorify God and rejoice in Christ. Friends in the community come too, and we always welcome anyone.

Annual New Years' celebration--New Years' for us, is a happy celebration time. But the difference between our parties and the worldly celebrations is that you don't wake up with a hangover the next morning. Our evening begins with happy songs of praise to the Lord, prayers, and a short Bible lesson. Then the rest of the night is spent in fellowship and parlor games. "Chicken Tracks" and "43" is about as "wild" as we get, but we really enjoy ourselves. People who love one another get a joy, just getting together. Everyone in the community is welcome.
